KEX Design + Build was born in New York and New Orleans. Although, we call New York and New Orleans home, we take on projects coast to coast and internationally.
We offer interior and architectural design for residential and commercial clients. But the relationship doesn’t end at the design, we also provide full service project and construction management to allow continuity and costs savings for our residential and commercial projects.
OUR TEAM
kv harper
Founder, Principal Designer
KV started designing houses several years ago. She began her design career with set designs before moving into home design.
She has designed projects throughout the world including London, Amsterdam, New York and New Orleans.
Her work has been featured in Apartment Therapy, Brownstoner, Food52, Architectural Digest, Southern Living and several other design publications.
When she's not designing, KV enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

Senior Architect
Yin is a native of Hong Kong. She left her city with trepidation, exhilaration, two pieces of luggage and a mission. She would study progressive Art and Architecture in America.
Yin graduated from New York’s Pratt Institute with a grateful heart, full of enthusiasm and a desire to share her learning with the world.
Many projects in the boutique architecture field later, her focus is always around making design sensible to both users as well as mother nature, a step toward a sustainable design and healthy living.
She is currently a licensed and registered Architect in both New York and Florida.
NIA AVERY
Design Assistant
Nia Avery is a full-time mom, school pod host, writer and design assistant with KEX Design + Build.
Prior to transitioning to her new life change, Nia was an art consultant where she led the New Orleans art consultancy for a secondary gallery that specializes in Blue Chip Fine Art.
Her interest in design started with her exposure to the art world, a yearlong virtual renovation of a 1930s bungalow and Master Classes with Corey Jenkins and Kelly Wearstler. After reading Corey Jenkins book she was sold and is open to learning as much as possible.
