December means party time. Style your bar cart with your favorite alcohol, flowers and maybe even a mirror. Below is our styled cart just in time for the holidays and our favorite holiday punch, aptly named, Mr. Ginger.
Mr. Ginger Holiday Punch
Recipe serves 4-6
Ingredients:
Fresh Ginger- 2 large stocks cut
1 cup of sugar
2 cups of water
1.5 cups of gin -adjust to make stronger or weaker
1.5 cups of sparkling water
3 cups of juice (mango, grapefruit or orange)
Step 1
You will make a simple syrup, using the ginger, sugar and water. Cut chucks of fresh ginger and put in a medium sauce pan add sugar and water. Cook on low heat, once the sugar dissolves, chill for at least 30mins but longer if possible (up to 8 hours). The longer you chill the simple syrup the stronger the ginger flavor will be.
Step 2
Strain ginger chucks from pan. And pour syrup in punch bowl.
Step 3
Next add Gin, sparkling water and juice. Refrigerate for 2 hours and serve straight up or on the rocks
